Rene Descartes' Nativist view that traits are innate within us is a more convincing perspective in Psychology. Traits are innate within us since we inherited chromosomes from our beloved parents. A total of 46 chromosome from our parents. This chromosome carries genomes which carries the characteristics of a certain organism.
Since we have inherited these chromosomes from our parents, we carry the physical and emotional attributes that our parents have. We were actually equipped to survive from the day we went out of Mommy's tummy. With this , we evidently carry the traits, mannerisms and behavior of our ancestors. For example, I was born from the blood line of Albert Einstein, It is possible that I may be as genius as he was.
Since we have inherited the traits, and capabilities of our ancestors, I therefore conclude that nature plays a vital role on human development, because without nature, nothing can be nurtured.
